Description
Hostos Community College on the quiet morning of February 1, 1971. Later that day students would wage a strike for better campus conditions. Hostos classes had begun for the first time the previous September in this building, a rental space that previously housed a tire warehouse. After passing through a courtyard enclosed by barbed wire, students and faculty entered the building through a single metal door.
